From Kitchen to Office, From Office to Seva — The Women of SBSD Shine Bright at Swachhta Da Langer

🌸 Grace in Action at Mata Chintpurni Mela

In the spiritually charged atmosphere of the Mata Chintpurni Mela, where thousands of devotees gathered with faith and reverence, the dedicated women of SBSD Welfare Society (Regd.) stood out through their quiet, determined service in support of the Swachhta Da Langer campaign.

With folded hands, kind smiles, and unwavering commitment, these women stepped beyond traditional boundaries to take active leadership in promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, traffic coordination, and responsible waste management throughout the mela.

Their work was a beautiful reflection of values in action — a blend of discipline, humility, and purpose.

They weren’t just volunteers.
They were role models.

🚫 “Say No to Plastic”: A Message Carried with Compassion

One of the core focuses of the SBSD women team was to spread awareness about the harm caused by single-use plastic. With sincerity and smiles, they moved through the mela grounds, connecting with devotees and stall holders, encouraging everyone to adopt eco-friendly practices.

Their message was not forced — it was felt.
Clean surroundings are a part of clean spirituality.

🚦 Discipline in Motion: Helping Hands for Smooth Flow

Amid the crowds, traffic, and footfall, the SBSD team — especially its women — played a key role in assisting with traffic coordination and crowd movement, offering directions, and supporting security teams to keep the environment safe and respectful for all.

Their gentle presence brought a sense of calm and order, even in the busiest areas of the mela.

🧹 Cleanliness Warriors: Serving with Silent Strength

With unwavering dedication, SBSD women volunteers actively participated in garbage collection, cleanliness drives, and stall sanitation — ensuring that every area they touched was left better than they found it.

They worked through sun and dust, lifting burnt waste, collecting litter, and spreading the values of hygiene and harmony.

Their seva was quiet but powerful — humble, yet heroic.

👵👧 Generations of Seva: Sohan Kaur & Granddaughter Shine Together

One of the most heartwarming sights at the mela was that of SBSD team member Sohan Kaur ji, a graceful grandmother, contributing shoulder-to-shoulder with her young granddaughter.

As they moved through the stalls — handing out awareness material, picking up plastic, and interacting with devotees — they offered more than service.
They offered a living example of values passed from one generation to the next.

Their teamwork was a beautiful symbol of what true seva looks like — timeless, selfless, and filled with love.

Poem: She Who Serves

She walks with grace, in silence she speaks,
From morning’s first light to twilight’s peaks.
With broom or badge, in sari or suit,
She leads with a smile — determined, resolute.

In plastic-free zones and crowded street lanes,
She works through sun, sweat, joy, and pains.
No task too small, no dream too far,
She’s the sun, the moon, the guiding star.

. “From Superman to Jethalal – Heroes Unite for a Cleaner Hoshiarpur with SBSD”

Cleanliness Meets Devotion – SBSD Welfare Society®️ on the Chohal Road to Mata Chintpurni

📍 Date: 25th July | Time: 6:30 PM | Location: Mata Chintpurni Chowk to Chohal Road, Hoshiarpur

Nature never did betray

The heart that loved her.”

William Wordsworth

As the sun began to set on 25th July, the sacred path leading from Mata Chintpurni Chowk lit up with a new kind of devotion — not just in prayer, but in purpose. At 6:30 PM, the energetic team of SBSD Welfare Society®️ gathered with one mission in mind: to blend spiritual service with environmental awareness.

Riding their bikes, the team travelled from Mata Chintpurni Chowk along Chohal Road, stopping wherever they saw langar stalls set up for devotees. At every point, they carried out sewa — cleaning the area, collecting garbage (especially used dunas and leaf bowls), and ensuring no plastic waste was left behind. The team also took time to request devotees to park their vehicles on the sides of the road to avoid traffic congestion and ensure smooth movement.

"When Superman Spoke for Swachhta: A Banner That Stole the Show"

The real crowd-puller, however, came in the form of two creative flex banners that turned heads and hearts. One featured none other than Superman, boldly urging everyone to “Keep the city clean.” Devotees of all ages, especially children, were instantly drawn in. Many paused mid-journey, smiled, and clicked photos. The message was simple — even superheroes care about swachhta!

"When
Jethalal Took a Stand: Humor Meets Environmental Responsibility"

During their ride along Chohal Road, the SBSD team visited every langar they encountered — and were happy to see that each stall was using steel plates for serving food, with no plastic in sight. This showed how deeply the message of eco-consciousness is being embraced — a direct reflection of DC Ma’am Aashika Jain’s mission for a “100% Plastic-Free Hoshiarpur.”

"Seva Beyond B
oundaries: SBSD Visits Red Cross Stall"
We sincerely thank the Red Cross Society and District Administration for their support in the mega cleanliness drive. Special thanks to DC Ma’am and the Charda Suraj Team for their inspiring leadership and encouragement.
 🙏🏼🌿

Our Junior Team – The Spirit of Tomorrow

Junior team members were also an active part of our journey to Swachhta, spreading smiles and inspiration at every step.

छोटे क़दमों की बड़ी उड़ान,
स्वच्छता का ये बना अभियान।
नन्हें हाथों में झाड़ू थामा,
देश को स्वच्छ बनाने का ठाना।

Little hands with hearts so pure,
Joined us to make the mission sure.
With brooms they walked, with joy and grace,
Bringing change to every place.

🌟 A Journey of Faith, Service & Change
As the final stretch of Chohal Road came to an end, the SBSD Welfare Society®️ looked back not with tiredness — but with peace of mind. The smiles on devotees’ faces, the clean roads, and the steel plates at every stall proved one thing: awareness is growing, and the community is doing good for the environment.

And with that same spirit, Team SBSD will again begin its sewa journey tomorrow — same time, same energy, same devotion. Because for them, “Safai da Langer” isn’t a one-time act — it’s a daily offering of love to the city and its people.

🌺 Mata Chintpurni Sawan Mela 2025: A Sacred Journey of Faith

Service Through Cleanliness: SBSD’s 4th ‘Safai Da Langer’ Inspires Devotion and Responsibility

With the divine blessings of Mata Rani and an unwavering commitment to community service, SBSD Welfare Society®️ organized the 4th ‘Safai Da Langer’ at Mata Chintpurni Chowk, Hoshiarpur. This initiative was more than just a cleanliness drive—it was an expression of devotion, responsibility, and readiness to welcome the upcoming Sawan Mela 2025 with dignity and grace.

Society members and volunteers came together to clean roadsides, collect garbage, and spread awareness among the public. Banners highlighting cleanliness and civic responsibility were displayed throughout the area. This thoughtful act of service stood as a shining example of how cleanliness is a true offering in devotion to the Divine.

🌺 Mata Chintpurni Sawan Mela 2025: A Sacred Journey of Faith

The revered Mata Chintpurni Temple, situated in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh, is set to host the Sawan Mela 2025 from July 25 to August 3. This holy fair begins on Shukla Paksha Pratipada in the sacred Shravan month, drawing thousands of devotees from across India.

Locally known as “Mata Da Mela”, this celebration takes place three times a year—in Chaitra, Sawan, and Ashwin—with the Sawan Mela being the most widely attended. Many devotees undertake the journey on foot, as a humble act of faith and surrender, offering their prayers to Mata Chintpurni, the goddess believed to fulfill wishes and relieve sorrows.

SBSD Welfare Society®️’s Cleanliness Seva During the 9-Day Pilgrimage

During this 9-day spiritual yatra, several roadside langars (community food stalls) are set up by devotees and social groups to serve food and water to walking pilgrims. In support of this sacred effort, SBSD Welfare Society®️ is committed to maintaining cleanliness along the pilgrimage routes, especially between Hoshiarpur and Chohal.

Our ongoing activities include:

 • Garbage collection and roadside cleaning

 • Placement of dustbins and awareness banners

 • Encouraging pilgrims to dispose waste responsibly

 • Ensuring a clean and pleasant environment near langar points

Through this initiative, SBSD aims to uphold the spiritual atmosphere of the mela while promoting a culture of cleanliness and care for public spaces.
