Together We Rise – Celebrating the Launch of Charda Suraj

🌞 Charda Suraj: A New Dawn of Service and Unity in Hoshiarpur 🌿

In a heartening moment for all those working selflessly for the betterment of society, Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner Ma’am Aashika Jain launched the Charda Suraj digital platform on Friday, 13th June 2025, at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Hoshiarpur — a visionary step to recognize and connect individuals, NGOs, students, and volunteers devoted to social welfare, environmental protection, and civic responsibility.

This inspiring platform is more than just a technological step — it's a movement that carries the spirit of unity, action, and gratitude.

🌟 What is Charda Suraj?

Charda Suraj is a community-driven initiative dedicated to bringing positive transformation to Hoshiarpur. This platform acts as a bridge between the people and the administration, encouraging active citizen participation in building a cleaner, greener, and more progressive society.

It firmly believes that real change begins with awareness, action, and unity. Whether it's tackling civic challenges or promoting environmental and social awareness, Charda Suraj empowers people to step forward and become changemakers in their own communities.

It truly lives up to its name — Charda Suraj, the Rising Sun — bringing light, hope, and purpose to the efforts of our local heroes.

🌼 A Vision of Unity – Like a Garland of Change

At the launch of Charda Suraj, the atmosphere was filled with purpose and inspiration. As we reflected on the essence of this initiative, it felt as if all the selfless individuals and groups working for social good were like shining pearls — each unique, each vital.

Through Charda Suraj, these pearls are being gently threaded together into a garland of unity and hope, symbolizing how individual efforts come together to create collective impact.

Though these are our humble words, they echo the spirit of what this platform stands for — connection, collaboration, and community upliftment.

DC Ma’am’s kind appreciation and thoughtful presence inspired everyone present, reminding us that even the smallest act of service holds the power to shape a brighter, united future.

🌿 SBSD Welfare Society's Humble Presence

On behalf of SBSD Welfare Society ®️, Mr. Ashok Sharma respectfully represented our organization at the launch event. Accompanying him were our committed team members —

In the Spirit of Unity...

As we take inspiration from Charda Suraj and move forward on the path of service, we are reminded of the timeless truth — unity is our greatest strength. When hearts come together with a common purpose, transformation becomes possible.

Let these words echo our belief:

In scattered hands, the wind may stray,

Together, we become a river grown.
So rise we shall, in thought and deed,
United in soul, to serve and lead.

Poem – From Our Heart to Theirs

In the quiet halls of wrinkled grace,
Live tales of time we can't replace.
Each silver strand, a crown of pride,
A lifetime’s love they never hide.

Their eyes may dim, their steps grow slow,
But in their hearts, bright stories glow.
So hold their hands, sit down, and hear—
The songs of life, both far and near.

Let’s light their dusk with songs and care,
For once they led us everywhere.
Old age is not the end, you see—
It’s wisdom wrapped in memory.

🌟 Young Minds, Big Dreams – A Day at the DC Office 🌟

📍 Location: DC Office, Hoshiarpur
📅 Date: 9th June 2025

Last Friday brought a special opportunity for the SBSD Welfare Society ®️ team, as we had the honour of meeting the respected Deputy Commissioner Ma’am Aashika Jain. Among our team were the bright stars of tomorrow—our junior members—who showed a keen interest in learning about the administration and how one day, they too can serve the nation.

Recognising their spark and curiosity, DC Ma’am graciously extended an invitation to the children to visit her office on Monday—to witness how the district administration functions and to inspire them toward public service.

🌿 An Inspiring Monday to Remember 🌿

Today, the SBSD Junior Team stepped into the heart of the administration—the DC Office—with excitement in their eyes and dreams in their hearts. From the moment they arrived, they were given a warm welcome by the officials.

The highlight of the visit was the interactive session with Zoya Siddiqui Ji, the District Development Fellow. With immense patience and kindness, she explained how different departments work, the decision-making process, and the values of discipline and dedication in public service.

💡 What Our Young Leaders Learned:

✅ A behind-the-scenes look into district-level governance
✅ Importance of responsibility, integrity, and team coordination
✅ Real-world insights into how officers work to serve the people
✅ Encouragement to dream big, stay disciplined, and be socially aware citizens

This wasn’t just a visit—it was a turning point. The energy, learning, and positivity our junior members experienced today will stay with them for a lifetime. Some even walked away saying, “One day, I want to become an IAS officer too!”

🙏 Heartfelt Gratitude

We are sincerely thankful to DC Ma’am Aashika Jain for her time, support, and motivation. Special thanks to Zoya Siddiqui Ji for her thoughtful mentorship. These small gestures go a long way in shaping future leaders.

🌱 Nurturing Dreams, One Step at a Time

At SBSD Welfare Society ®️, we believe that sowing the seeds of curiosity and leadership in young minds can shape a better tomorrow. And today was a perfect example of how exposure, encouragement, and empathy can make that possible.

Let’s continue to guide our children with values, vision, and opportunities that help them grow into responsible and inspired citizens.

🌿 “Planting Hope : A Day of Service and Nature”

 📍 Location: Sadar Thana, Hoshiarpur

🗓️ Date: 8th June 2025

With a heart full of love for Mother Earth and a deep sense of responsibility towards our surroundings, the Swachtta Bin Seva Dharam Society team continued its journey of cleanliness and plantation — a journey that began on 5th June, World Environment Day.

Even as the sun blazed high and temperatures crossed 40°C, our spirits remained higher. 🌞 Our destination was again Sadar Thana, Hoshiarpur, and our mission remained unchanged — to clean, to plant, and to care.

🌿 A Day of Dedication and Hard Work

We started our day by removing overgrown weeds and cleaning the area with teamwork and care. What once looked untidy began to show signs of fresh life.
Then came the most peaceful part — planting saplings, gently placing them into the earth, knowing that one day, these little plants will grow into mighty trees, providing shade, oxygen, and beauty for generations.

🌼 A Small Tribute to Nature

“Let the winds sing through the leaves,
Let the roots find peace below,
Each seed a silent promise,
To bloom, to breathe, to grow.”
— Unknown

🌱 Small Acts, Big Meanings

Though the work was physical and the day was hot, our hearts remained cool with purpose. Every sweep of the broom, every dug hole, every drop of sweat — felt like a step closer to a cleaner, greener Hoshiarpur.

This was not just an environmental effort — this was a moment of community bonding, of reconnecting with nature, and of inspiring the younger generation to understand that even small efforts count.

A Simple Cup, A Sincere Moment

And after all the hard work, we gathered in the shade, sat together, and shared tea and crispy samosas. That moment was filled with laughter, calm, and a quiet sense of achievement.

"In the shade of service, we sipped the tea,
Not just to rest, but to feel truly free.
The chai had stories, the samosa had smiles —
And the heat forgot us for a little while."

Sometimes, it’s the smallest moments that make the biggest memories.

💚 A Message from the Heart

This day was never just about cleaning or planting trees — it was about coming together as a community and doing our part with love and sincerity.

In the middle of a harsh summer day, we discovered peace in service, joy in teamwork, and beauty in simplicity.

Let us carry this message forward:

🌿 Care for the environment
🤝 Serve with humility
🌍 Give back to the earth that gives us everything

“Because when we serve the earth,
the earth serves us back — with peace, with purpose, and with pride.”

🙏 Thank you to each and every person who stood with us today.
Together, we’re not just planting trees — we are planting hope.

“Planting Hope: How Hoshiarpur Celebrated World Environment Day with Green Action”

“Cleanliness and greenery are the true service to society.”
—Swachttabinsewadharamsociety

Every year, World Environment Day reminds us of the vital connection we share with our planet. But in Hoshiarpur, this year’s celebration was more than just a date on the calendar — it was a green movement, full of purpose, people, and plants.

At the heart of this celebration was a beautiful Tree Plantation Drive organized by Swachttabinsewadharamsociety in collaboration with Sanjh Kendra, Hoshiarpur. The location? None other than the peaceful and public-focused grounds of Sadar Thana.

🌱 Turning Thought into Action

On 5th June 2025 at 3:30 PM, a group of dedicated citizens and volunteers came together with a single mission — to plant for the planet. Led by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar from Sanjh Kendra, and joined by spirited members of the society, the team began planting Neem, Peepal, Gulmohar, and Banyan saplings — trees known for their shade, strength, and spiritual importance.

These weren’t just saplings.
They were symbols of hope, healing, and heritage.

 🌴  More Than Just a One-Day Drive

What truly stood out was that this wasn’t a one-time gesture. With over 100+ saplings already planted by the society in recent months, and ongoing cleanliness drives in action, this event was part of a long-term mission to keep Hoshiarpur green, clean, and beautiful.

“Trees are not just oxygen providers — they balance and beautify our Earth.”

 🌿A Promise to Protect

The plantation drive ended with a collective pledge — a heartfelt promise by the participants to take care of the saplings and support more such eco-friendly missions.

Among the dedicated green warriors were:
Amit Sharma, Kamaljit Kaur, Sarabjeet Singh, Harman Singh, Jasmeen, Monica Ma’am, and Karandeep Singh, each of them proud to be part of this movement.

💚 Let’s Keep the Green Going!

As John Muir once said:

And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.”

This World Environment Day, the people of Hoshiarpur didn’t just celebrate — they took action, planted life, and inspired a community.

Let’s all take a leaf from their book and commit to protecting our one and only Earth — not just on June 5th, but every single day.
