“SBSD Welfare Society®️ Organizes 2nd Blood Donation Camp”

SBSD Welfare Society®️ Organizes Its 2nd Blood Donation Camp

SBSD Welfare Society®️ marked another meaningful milestone in its journey of community service by organizing its 2nd Blood Donation Camp at Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Charitable Blood Bank, Hoshiarpur, on 16 November 2025, starting at 9:30 AM. The atmosphere was warm, positive, and filled with the spirit of giving—reflecting the society’s mission to build a healthier and more compassionate community.

Blood Donation – A Small Act, A Big Impact

Blood donation is one of the simplest yet most powerful acts of kindness. A few minutes of effort can save a life, support accident victims, help patients undergoing surgeries, or offer hope to families in distress. Donors at the camp expressed a deep sense of purpose and happiness, knowing that their contribution could become someone’s lifeline.

SBSD Team Leads by Example

The strength of the event came from the dedicated SBSD team. Members stepped forward confidently and donated blood with genuine enthusiasm. Their commitment reflected the society’s values—service, compassion, and responsibility toward the community. Their unity and spirit created an encouraging and uplifting environment for everyone present.

Jasmine (18) Donates for the First Time – A Heart-Touching Moment

A particularly inspiring moment came from Jasmine, aged 18, who donated blood for the first time.

Her message resonated with everyone:

If I can take this step, others can too.”

Her courage motivated other young visitors and highlighted the role of youth in building a caring and responsible society. Her first donation became a symbol of hope and inspiration at the camp.

Remembering Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha – A Legacy of Courage and Sacrifice

The day became even more meaningful as SBSD Welfare Society®️ dedicated the event to remembering Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, one of India’s youngest and bravest freedom fighters. Honoring his courage and sacrifice added deep emotion to the camp, inspiring everyone present.
This humble tribute reminded us that true service — whether through blood donation, community work, or helping others — is rooted in courage, compassion, and selflessness.

Heartfelt Gratitude to Every Blood Donor – You Are the Real Heroes

As we conclude this meaningful day, SBSD Welfare Society®️ expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stepped forward to donate blood. Your kindness, courage, and willingness to help a stranger make you the true heroes of our community.

While writing this blog, with a warm cup of tea by my side—as always—one thought gently came to my mind:
so many unknown heroes donate blood silently, without seeking recognition or praise.
They come, they give, they save lives, and they leave quietly.

To every such silent hero,
we salute your spirit of humanity.
Your small act becomes someone’s lifeline, someone’s hope, someone’s second chance.

Thank you for being part of this noble cause and for spreading goodness through your actions.

Diwali celebration at Old Age Home

A Diwali of Love and Light – SBSD Welfare Society®️ at Old Age Home, Hoshiarpur

30th October — Today, as I sat quietly with a warm cup of tea ☕️ in my hands — my little source of comfort and energy — a wave of memories came rushing back. I found myself thinking about the Diwali 🪔 I once celebrated at the old age home. The gentle smiles of the elders, the glow of the diyas, and the heartfelt blessings still shine brightly in my heart. To relive those precious moments filled with love, peace, and gratitude, I decided to pen down this blog dedicated to SBSD Welfare Society®️’s Diwali celebration at the old age home — a festival of light that truly touched my soul.

 The Heartfelt Preparations Begin

Diwali celebration at Old Age Home

Diwali — the festival of lights, joy, and togetherness — shines brightest when hearts unite for a cause. With the same spirit, members of SBSD Welfare Society®️ came together to celebrate Diwali not just with lights, but with love. Some members went shopping for decorations, balloons, rangoli colours, and diyas, while others lovingly selected fruits and sweets for the elders. A few brought along light crackers to add a touch of sparkle. Every little effort reflected excitement, care, and the simple wish — to bring smiles where they’re most needed.

A Warm Welcome at the Old Age Home

On 20th October 2025, around 11:30 a.m., the SBSD team reached the Old Age Home, Hoshiarpur, with hearts filled with love and devotion. The moment we entered, we were welcomed with gentle smiles and affectionate eyes. Sitting beside the elders, listening to their stories, and holding their hands created an emotional bond that words can’t describe. Their blessings filled the air with positivity. It reminded us that sometimes, the greatest gift you can give is your time, your smile, and your presence. ❤️

#teamsbsd

 Decorating with Love and Devotion

Soon, our team began decorating the space — transforming the old age home into a house of joy. The walls sparkled with balloons and diyas, while our junior team poured their creativity into vibrant rangoli designs. Every diya lit that morning symbolized hope, love, and the promise of togetherness. The laughter, music, and colours blended into one beautiful moment — a Diwali that came straight from the heart.

Sweetness Shared, Hearts Connected

Once the decorations were done, we started distributing fruits, sweets, and light crackers among the elders. The sparkle in their eyes said more than words ever could. Their joy was pure, their smiles radiant. Sharing those sweets wasn’t just about tradition — it was about sharing love, respect, and humanity. The elders’ blessings filled our souls with peace. In that moment, we truly understood — real celebration begins when hearts connect.

Diwali’s True Essence – Lighting Hearts, Not Just Diyas

As the day came to an end, one feeling echoed in every heart — Diwali is not only about lighting diyas, it’s about lighting lives. It’s about spreading happiness to every corner, reaching out to those who feel forgotten, and reminding them that they are loved, valued, and remembered.

🌟 A Message from the Heart 🌟

This visit to the old age home was more than a celebration — it was a lesson in love, gratitude, and humanity. We realized that elders don’t seek luxury; they seek affection. A few kind words, a little time, and a caring touch can bring back the sparkle in their eyes.

Let’s remember — Diwali is not just outside in lamps and lights; it’s within us, in our kindness and compassion.

When we choose to share smiles with those who feel alone, we create real light — the light that never fades.

So this Diwali and every day ahead, let’s make a promise together —

to spread happiness not only in our homes, but in every heart, every corner, and every old age home.

Because for SBSD Welfare Society®️, the true celebration will always be in our motto —

💖 “Let’s Spread Happiness — today, tomorrow, and all around the world.” 💖

A sincere thank you to our dedicated Team SBSD, whose selfless efforts and commitment turned this noble thought into a beautiful reality. And heartfelt appreciation to all our donors and supporters — your generosity helped us spread smiles, warmth, and hope among the elderly.

Together, we celebrated not just Diwali, but the true spirit of humanity — where every diya lit became a symbol of Seva, compassion, and shared happiness. 🪔💫

Plantation Drive at Hoshiarpur

🌱 SBSD Welfare Society ®️ – Plantation Drive at Hoshiarpur

A Rainy Midnight

It was late Saturday night, around 11:30 pm. Sleep was nowhere to be found, so I thought of writing something. I picked up my pen and diary, and slowly the words began to flow for my blog .

“Every story has a beginning — mine started with a cup of tea and a blank page, as I poured my thoughts into blogs.”

Time slipped away quietly, and before I realized, it was 3 am. The soft rhythm of rain outside made me check the clock. Feeling tired, one thought hit me suddenly – “Tomorrow is Sunday, 24th August – our SBSD Welfare Society ®️ Plantation Drive at 11 am.”

I quickly closed my diary and went to sleep, determined to be on time.

A Rainy Morning ☔️

I woke up around 8 am, only to find the rain still falling. After a simple breakfast of bread, butter, and a cup of black coffee ☕️, I got ready for the plantation drive in Hoshiarpur under the theme “The Land of Green.”

The drizzle showed no sign of stopping. But my heart reminded me – “Rain nurtures trees, and today we are going to plant hope for the future.” Instead of taking the car 🚗, I chose my bike 🏍️, because the rainy roads brought back memories of my school days – riding in the rain, drenched yet smiling.

Riding Through the Rain

The road was wet, the air was fresh, and the fragrance of earth after rain was magical. My clothes got soaked, but inside, my heart was filled with joy – because today wasn’t just another day, it was a day of giving life back to nature.

Reaching the Destination 🌱

I reached the destination and joined the other members of SBSD. Together, we carried the saplings to the chosen spot.

One of the most comforting moments came when Mr. Parmod, who works nearby, promised us that he would look after the trees. His words — “I will water them, add fertilizer, and protect them like my own” — gave us peace of mind. Planting a tree gives joy, but knowing someone will nurture it gives hope.

The Plantation Drive 🌳

Our team — Mr. Parmod, Mr. Yadav, Mr. Amit Sharma, Karandeep Singh, Mr. Ashok Sharma, and Mr. Ashok Rana — worked hand in hand to prepare the soil and plant the saplings.

That day, we planted several medicinal trees such as Amla, Neem, Amaltas, and Baheda. As one of our senior members beautifully said:

“If every family plants a tree in the name of their elders and takes care of it, the environment will flourish, and future generations will inherit a healthier world.”

🌱 “Words capture emotions, but videos bring them alive. Watch the full Plantation Drive on our YouTube channel here ⬇️”

Other members — Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mr. Charanjit Yadav, Mr. Parmod Kumar Sharma, Mr. Kaushal Khullar, Mr. Lal Singh, Mr. Swarn Kumar, Mr. Binder Singh, and Mr. Dinesh — also joined and pledged to continue this mission. Some even planted trees near their homes and assured us they would take care of them.

Our president, Mr. Ashok Sharma, thanked everyone and reminded us that this was not just an event, but a responsibility.

📸 “Together we plant, together we grow — SBSD Welfare Society ®️ nurturing roots of tomorrow.”

Rain, Tea & Memories

Even after the plantation, the rain kept pouring. We all gathered under a shade near where Mr. Parmod works. And then came a beautiful surprise — he offered us hot tea and samosas.

Tea + samosa = energy

In that rainy atmosphere, one cup was never enough. We had 2–3 cups of tea together ☕️, and with every sip, laughter grew louder. Truly, only a tea lover can understand the joy of tea in the rain.

🌧️

“Every story has a beginning — mine started with a cup of tea and a blank page, as I poured my thoughts into blogs.”
📸 “Rain watered the trees, tea warmed our hearts, and memories made the day unforgettable 🌱☔☕ — #TeamSBSD.

We shared school memories, spoke of our future plans, and I recited a shayari from my blog Adhure Jazbaat . Hours passed without notice — four hours of tea, rain, memories, and togetherness.

A Tradition of Green ❤️

By around 5 pm, as the rain slowed, we headed home. But we carried with us the deep satisfaction that planting trees always brings.

This is not the first time SBSD Welfare Society ®️ has done such work. Last year too, our team planted several trees in different parts of Hoshiarpur, and many of them are now standing tall and green. Seeing them grow reminds us that every small effort creates a lasting impact.

“Planting Trees, Planting Hope – Upcoming Plantation Drive in Hoshiarpur”

🌳 Greening Hoshiarpur – Upcoming Tree Plantation Drive by SBSD Welfare Society ®️

On 24th August 2025 at 11:00 AM, SBSD Welfare Society ®️ will organize a heartfelt Tree Plantation Drive in Hoshiarpur with the mission of creating a greener and healthier environment. Volunteers, students, and local residents are invited to come together with one purpose – to give back to Mother Nature.

🌱 Why This Drive Matters

Trees are the lifeline of our planet. They provide us with oxygen, reduce pollution, prevent soil erosion, and bring balance to our environment. With rising pollution and urbanization, tree plantation in Hoshiarpur is no longer just a good act – it is a necessity.

Through this upcoming plantation drive, SBSD Welfare Society ®️ aims to:
 • Spread awareness about the importance of trees.
 • Encourage the community to plant and nurture saplings.
 • Create a long-term vision of a Green Hoshiarpur and Green Punjab.

🌿 What Will Happen on 24th August

At 11:00 AM, volunteers and supporters will gather to plant different types of saplings including shade-giving trees, fruit-bearing plants, and medicinal trees in Hoshiarpur. Each sapling will be planted with the hope that it will grow strong and serve generations to come.

The event will be filled with enthusiasm, community spirit, and the joy of doing Seva (selfless service) for the environment. Children and youth will also participate, learning the value of protecting nature in a practical way.

🌳 Beyond Planting – A Promise to Protect

Plantation is not just about planting a sapling—it’s about nurturing it. SBSD Welfare Society ®️ in Hoshiarpur will take responsibility to monitor and care for these plants until they grow into strong trees. Volunteers will regularly water them and ensure they are protected.

🌍 A Call to Action

This tree plantation drive is not just an event, but a movement. We invite every citizen to take a small step by planting at least one tree every year in Punjab. Together, we can create a Green Hoshiarpur, a Green Punjab, and a Green India.

✨ SBSD Welfare Society ®️ remains committed to spreading happiness, health, and greenery through seva and community service.

“SBSD Welfare Society ®️ is planting hope, one tree at a time 🌱 Join us this 24th August, 11 AM, for a greener Hoshiarpur

From Kitchen to Office, From Office to Seva — The Women of SBSD Shine Bright at Swachhta Da Langer

🌸 Grace in Action at Mata Chintpurni Mela

In the spiritually charged atmosphere of the Mata Chintpurni Mela, where thousands of devotees gathered with faith and reverence, the dedicated women of SBSD Welfare Society (Regd.) stood out through their quiet, determined service in support of the Swachhta Da Langer campaign.

With folded hands, kind smiles, and unwavering commitment, these women stepped beyond traditional boundaries to take active leadership in promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, traffic coordination, and responsible waste management throughout the mela.

Their work was a beautiful reflection of values in action — a blend of discipline, humility, and purpose.

They weren’t just volunteers.
They were role models.

🚫 “Say No to Plastic”: A Message Carried with Compassion

One of the core focuses of the SBSD women team was to spread awareness about the harm caused by single-use plastic. With sincerity and smiles, they moved through the mela grounds, connecting with devotees and stall holders, encouraging everyone to adopt eco-friendly practices.

Their message was not forced — it was felt.
Clean surroundings are a part of clean spirituality.

🚦 Discipline in Motion: Helping Hands for Smooth Flow

Amid the crowds, traffic, and footfall, the SBSD team — especially its women — played a key role in assisting with traffic coordination and crowd movement, offering directions, and supporting security teams to keep the environment safe and respectful for all.

Their gentle presence brought a sense of calm and order, even in the busiest areas of the mela.

🧹 Cleanliness Warriors: Serving with Silent Strength

With unwavering dedication, SBSD women volunteers actively participated in garbage collection, cleanliness drives, and stall sanitation — ensuring that every area they touched was left better than they found it.

They worked through sun and dust, lifting burnt waste, collecting litter, and spreading the values of hygiene and harmony.

Their seva was quiet but powerful — humble, yet heroic.

👵👧 Generations of Seva: Sohan Kaur & Granddaughter Shine Together

One of the most heartwarming sights at the mela was that of SBSD team member Sohan Kaur ji, a graceful grandmother, contributing shoulder-to-shoulder with her young granddaughter.

As they moved through the stalls — handing out awareness material, picking up plastic, and interacting with devotees — they offered more than service.
They offered a living example of values passed from one generation to the next.

Their teamwork was a beautiful symbol of what true seva looks like — timeless, selfless, and filled with love.

Poem: She Who Serves

She walks with grace, in silence she speaks,
From morning’s first light to twilight’s peaks.
With broom or badge, in sari or suit,
She leads with a smile — determined, resolute.

In plastic-free zones and crowded street lanes,
She works through sun, sweat, joy, and pains.
No task too small, no dream too far,
She’s the sun, the moon, the guiding star.

. “From Superman to Jethalal – Heroes Unite for a Cleaner Hoshiarpur with SBSD”

Cleanliness Meets Devotion – SBSD Welfare Society®️ on the Chohal Road to Mata Chintpurni

📍 Date: 25th July | Time: 6:30 PM | Location: Mata Chintpurni Chowk to Chohal Road, Hoshiarpur

Nature never did betray

The heart that loved her.”

William Wordsworth

As the sun began to set on 25th July, the sacred path leading from Mata Chintpurni Chowk lit up with a new kind of devotion — not just in prayer, but in purpose. At 6:30 PM, the energetic team of SBSD Welfare Society®️ gathered with one mission in mind: to blend spiritual service with environmental awareness.

Riding their bikes, the team travelled from Mata Chintpurni Chowk along Chohal Road, stopping wherever they saw langar stalls set up for devotees. At every point, they carried out sewa — cleaning the area, collecting garbage (especially used dunas and leaf bowls), and ensuring no plastic waste was left behind. The team also took time to request devotees to park their vehicles on the sides of the road to avoid traffic congestion and ensure smooth movement.

"When Superman Spoke for Swachhta: A Banner That Stole the Show"

The real crowd-puller, however, came in the form of two creative flex banners that turned heads and hearts. One featured none other than Superman, boldly urging everyone to “Keep the city clean.” Devotees of all ages, especially children, were instantly drawn in. Many paused mid-journey, smiled, and clicked photos. The message was simple — even superheroes care about swachhta!

"When
Jethalal Took a Stand: Humor Meets Environmental Responsibility"

During their ride along Chohal Road, the SBSD team visited every langar they encountered — and were happy to see that each stall was using steel plates for serving food, with no plastic in sight. This showed how deeply the message of eco-consciousness is being embraced — a direct reflection of DC Ma’am Aashika Jain’s mission for a “100% Plastic-Free Hoshiarpur.”

"Seva Beyond B
oundaries: SBSD Visits Red Cross Stall"
We sincerely thank the Red Cross Society and District Administration for their support in the mega cleanliness drive. Special thanks to DC Ma’am and the Charda Suraj Team for their inspiring leadership and encouragement.
 🙏🏼🌿

Our Junior Team – The Spirit of Tomorrow

Junior team members were also an active part of our journey to Swachhta, spreading smiles and inspiration at every step.

छोटे क़दमों की बड़ी उड़ान,
स्वच्छता का ये बना अभियान।
नन्हें हाथों में झाड़ू थामा,
देश को स्वच्छ बनाने का ठाना।

Little hands with hearts so pure,
Joined us to make the mission sure.
With brooms they walked, with joy and grace,
Bringing change to every place.

🌟 A Journey of Faith, Service & Change
As the final stretch of Chohal Road came to an end, the SBSD Welfare Society®️ looked back not with tiredness — but with peace of mind. The smiles on devotees’ faces, the clean roads, and the steel plates at every stall proved one thing: awareness is growing, and the community is doing good for the environment.

And with that same spirit, Team SBSD will again begin its sewa journey tomorrow — same time, same energy, same devotion. Because for them, “Safai da Langer” isn’t a one-time act — it’s a daily offering of love to the city and its people.
